Welcome to online lecture 3.1. In this lesson we will learn about the main ideas behind the constitution.
Before you begin this lesson, make sure that you know who John Locke was and how he influenced the ideas of the writers of the Constitution, and have read the Declaration of Independence and understand the main ideas of the second paragraph (beginning "We hold these truths to be self-evident").
As you complete this lecture, you should take notes and participate just as you would in a regular class.
